Sounding

I’m outside my comfort level, with unfamiliar gear that strangely enough, when asked, I step right in and work; downriggers, cut-bait, depth finders.

It’s comfortable on the water, a break from the oars in exchange for the salty air and seagulls.

I celebrate a good friends coming birthday with time on the water. Soon, we’ll be back in shallower freshwater, casting flies and far removed from the deep Sound.

Accepting that the gear will be different by necessity, that difference often reinforces an appreciation of a gentler form of fishing. Enjoy your time and friends on the salt.

  2. Great work keep it up :) kudos to the site owner. This is absolutely awesome.

  3. I could truthfully spend hrs browsing you, continue the fantastic work!

You should take part in a contest for one of the best blogs on the web. I will recommend this site!

  5. I love fly tying whenever the off season has started. Out of all the different kinds of fly tying styles I have a preference for the Adams Parachute Fly essentially the most. It is actually stable in the course of heavy currents and also maintains visibility in the water. I’ve used it on the river bed including the lake nearby and currently have been very happy about it.
